The short version: BedDebt does not collect anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no server and no analytics. Everything the app records — your deadline, your code, your mornings — is stored on your own phone and never leaves it. We could not see your data if we wanted to, because it is never sent anywhere.
BedDebt is made by Winning Beans, based in the United Kingdom. For UK data protection law we would be the data controller — but as set out below, we do not process any personal data at all.
All of the following is held in your browser's local storage, on your device only:

None of this is transmitted. BedDebt makes no network requests after the page has loaded. You can check this yourself: turn on aeroplane mode and the app works exactly the same.
BedDebt asks for camera access for one purpose: to read your printed code. The picture is examined on your device, in the moment, to look for that code. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded. You can refuse camera access and still use the app by typing the letters printed under your code.
BedDebt never touches your bank. It has no payment system and no connection to any financial service. It keeps a tally; moving the money to your own savings is something you do yourself, on your honour.
Until you delete it. Data stays on your device until you use Settings → Delete everything, clear your browser storage, or uninstall the app. There is no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing left behind.
UK GDPR gives you rights over personal data held about you. Because BedDebt holds nothing about you on our side, there is nothing for us to hand over or erase. For your own copy on your own device:

BedDebt is not intended for under-16s. As no data is collected, none is collected from children either.
It is a self-motivation tool. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor anything, and it is not a sleep-tracking or medical device. If you are struggling to get up most days, that is worth speaking to a GP about rather than solving with an app.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If BedDebt ever started collecting anything at all, we would say so here first, in plain words, before it happened.
